Group Home/ SIL
A welcoming shared home designed for comfort, independence and connection.
About this service
Welcome to our Supported Independent Living (SIL) home. Participants of the Ruhil Care Group Home/ SIL enjoy a welcoming residential setting where our highly skilled and experienced support staff help with everyday tasks so you can become more independent. For NDIS participants who are willing to live with others and who hope to live independently, our SIL is the ideal new choice for you — a comfortable shared home in a quiet, leafy street, staffed 24/7 by a team who know each resident by name, story and routine.
Every plan is shaped around your goals, preferences and routines. Our team works closely with you, your family and your circle of support to make sure the service feels right from day one — and stays that way.

Common questions
Is the home suitable for high-care or complex needs?+
Yes. Our team includes workers trained in complex care, manual handling, mealtime management, PEG feeding, seizure response and medication support. We assess each enquiry individually and only accept placements we can safely support.
What kind of support can I receive in my Supported Independent Living home?+
Personal care, transportation, housekeeping, daily skill-building, shopping, meal preparation, medication assistance, community participation, medical appointments, behaviour management, maintaining family and friends connections, and additional NDIS-funded services as your plan allows.
How close is the home to amenities?+
The home is conveniently located close to amenities, shopping centers, and public transport. Contact us for specific details about our current locations.
Can I bring my own furniture and personalise my room?+
Absolutely — your bedroom is your private space. We encourage residents to bring furniture, art, photos and anything that makes the room feel like home.
How are rent, SDA and SIL funding handled?+
Rent and household costs are paid separately to your NDIS funding. We'll walk you, your family and your plan manager through every dollar before move-in — no surprises.
Who will I live with?+
Compatibility is everything. We take time to match residents based on age, interests, support needs and lifestyle — and you'll meet potential housemates before any decision is made.
What happens overnight?+
Depending on residents' funded supports, we provide active overnight staff or sleepover staff on-site every night of the year.
