Job requirements

As a Disability Support Worker, you will be required to assist people with:

Personal care - showering, dressing, grooming
Household tasks - household cleaning and laundry
Skill development - shopping, cooking, catching public transport
Transport - transport to appointments and/or shopping
Social & Community participation - engage in the community, meet people
Respite care - support the Participant while the primary carer has a break

Suitable Applicants MUST have

  • Minimum 6 months experience in a disability support worker role

  • Certificate III in Disability (Indiviudal Support) or,

  • Disability Certificate IV or equivalent (essential)

  • Current National Police Clearance (essential)

  • Valid Working With Children’s Check (essential)

  • Current First Aid Certificate incl. CPR (essential)

  • Effective communication, written and interpersonal skills

  • Sound and effective time management skills

  • Possess a high level of trust, honest and integrity and be able to maintain a professional relationship with all participants

Registered Nurse 

About the role

​As a Registered Nurse you will provide day to day clinical leadership, advice, support & guidance to staff & participants.
 

You will utilise your strong clinical background, skill set & knowledge combined with your staff leadership, motivation and community engagement skills to support with the continued growth and success of this service.

​You will provide daily clinical guidance to both clinical and non-clinical staff supporting clients within the community and Ruhil care residences, providing advice about client care, offering solutions to any care concerns identifying any increases in care needs. Build networks with external stakeholders ensuring excellent relationships are built to support with the continued growth of the services.

​What we require from you:

  • Current AHPRA Registration

  • Disable Care Experience

  • Must have current Australian work rights

  • Current National Police Clearance (essential)

  • Valid Working With Children’s Check (essential)

  • Effective communication, written and interpersonal skills

  • Sound and effective time management skills
